Meet John Miller
Founder, Investment Adviser Representative

As the owner and president of JD Miller & Associates Inc., John Miller is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, as the youngest of five boys, John learned early on the importance of family values and planning for the future.

After graduating from S.U.N.Y. Oswego with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1991, John moved to Florida to start his career working with a financial services company that focused on accounting and financial software for small businesses. After 16 years, he was promoted to vice president of sales.

Although he enjoyed the work, he found that he enjoyed working more closely with the people, rather than dealing with businesses’ financials. He changed his focus and now works with individuals and their families’ personal finances.

In 2008, John was recruited by one of the largest life and health agencies in the country that focused on the senior market. He was quickly promoted to national director of training. He left six years later to open his own firm, JD Miller & Associates Inc., in 2014.

John understands that everybody's story is different, which is why no two financial strategies are the same. As an experienced financial professional, John helps craft that uniqueness into a strategy that works to help accomplish clients’ goals for themselves and their families.

John is a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) and holds his Florida 2-15 Life, Health and Variable Annuity license, as well as his long-term care insurance and Medicare license. He has also passed his Series 7, 63 and 65 securities exams. Additionally, he is a certified graduate of Dale Carnegie training.

In his free time, John enjoys coaching soccer, beach fishing and golf. He and his wife, Shelly, were married in 2000 and live in Redington Beach, Florida. They have three wonderful children who are enrolled in the Seminole school system.


Meet Debbie Vahl
Administrator

Debbie Vahl is focused on providing clients thoughtful and personal guidance as they work toward their retirement dreams.

While caring for her ailing parents, Debbie began to realize the important role that sound financial planning can play in easing pain, frustration and stress for both those in poor health and their families. Inspired by the power of well-constructed financial strategies, Debbie made the change from being an elementary school teacher and swim coach to working in the world of finance. When Debbie works with her clients, she brings the same care and attention to detail she gave her parents. Few things make Debbie happier than seeing clients feel confident in their financial future.

In her free time, Debbie enjoys spending time with friends and family.
